Crafted to perfectly fit Hibi incense matches and their circular incense mat, these trays are also suitable for other small incense products such as Ichikō Ichie incense sticks.
Made in Seto, one of the six oldest kiln towns in Japan, which has a pottery history stretching more than 1,000 years. Seto was the first pottery capital in Japan to use glaze, and is the origin for the word "setomono" the Japanese word for ceramics and pottery. Seto ware is characterized by its beautiful white base, reminiscent of Chinese celadon and white porcelain. The glazes used for Hibi's trays are the traditional "Kizeto" and "Oribe" glazes.
