Style No. 8840 : Classic Moc Chocolate Muleskinner

Red Wing's most iconic style, the Classic Moc, in a chocolate coloured flesh-out leather. The Chocolate Muleskinner is not a suede boot, but made with full grain leather with the smooth side on the inside. This creates a leather boot which is scratch resistant and easy to care for, with the same weather resistance and durability as a classic full grain leather boot. Style and function.

The Classic Work boots were designed and built to withstand the daily rigours of the work day on the farm and in the factory. The lightweight crepe sole featured a minimal tread design to reduce the mud that would cling to a farmer's boots but still provide the underfoot comfort the work day required. Red Wing would brand the crepe sole as the Traction Tred Sole. These classic boots featured a moc toe design. The name came from the word moccasin, the Algonquian Indian word for shoe. This combination of the u-shaped moc toe leather upper and the white crepe sole would become the iconic boot style for the Red Wing brand. It is one of the oldest Red Wing styles and continues to be a best-seller.
+ Fitguide

A new pair of Red Wing Heritage Boots should fit comfortably on your foot, with enough air around your foot to easily accommodate thicker socks, and plenty of space in front of your foot to freely wiggle your toes, as all the styles of Red Wing we carry are designed with extra room up-front.

Some customers prefer to size half a size down, but they should not be sized down so much that they feel tight. Ensure that your feet have some space to move. If you have a narrow foot, you can safely size down half to a full size.

+ Care

Invest a little time to care for your leather shoes every now and again, and you will be rewarded with shoes that last longer and look great.

How often you need to treat your shoes varies greatly depending on usage, weather and the terrain you're in. But when you feel it's time for a little care, we recommend to follow these easy steps:

Clean

Simply clean your suede shoes with a clean damp cloth, this is especially important to do if they've been exposed to salty slush during winter. Allow to dry.

For stains and spots, a crepe brush easily removes stains while preserving the nep of the suede. If needed for tougher stains, use a leather cleaner.

Protect

Add extra protection to preserve your footwear. Saphir's Super Invulner spray waterproofs the most delicate leathers, and offers superior protection against water, stains and grease. This will protect your shoes from water and dirt.
