Kuroki is one of the most renowned Japanese denim mills, and our largest denim supplier. The vast majority of styles in our core denim line is made using denim manufactured by Kuroki.
Kuroki has a rich history. Founded in 1950, Kuroki was one of the very first Japanese mills to develop denim fabrics in the post-war era, and they started rope-dyeing their denim yarns in 1965. A dyeing process which is essential for real denim, resulting in a fabric that fades and ages with time and wear.
At Kuroki the whole denim making process is done under the same roof, from preparing and rope-dying the yarns, to weaving and final finishing of the fabric.
